Nick Hake

Longtime South Florida resident Nick Hake, original designer and builder of Seaward Yachts, is renowned for his innovative designs and vertically retracting keels. Now out of retirement, he offers repair, reconditioning, and brokerage services through his new brand, NH Designs, focusing on Seaward sailboats built from 2003 onward. With over 40 years in the industry, Nick has upheld a stellar reputation, personally overseeing each build. His trailerable boats set the standard for quality and performance, while his larger models, including the 26rk, 32rk, and 46rk, introduced groundbreaking retractable keel designs. His 46rk remains the pinnacle of innovation, blending speed, style, and comfort.

26rk Model

Both 26rk and the 32rk have vertically retracting foils, with the patented retractable keel design adjusted by electric winch and manually operated rudders.

32rk Model

On top of the vertically retracting foils, with the patented retractable keel design adjusted by electric winch and manually operated rudders both 26rk and 32k models also sport carbon fiber masts along with cat rig sail plans, wing keels and the use of small diesel engines.

46rk Model

The 46rk model shares the vertically retracting foil philosophy with the smaller Seawards, it broke new ground with its innovative design. This is the true definition of a gentleman‘s boat.
